A solenoid is made from a 25-m length of wire of resistivity 2.3 × 10-8 Ω • m. The wire, whose radius is 2.1 mm, is wrapped uniformly onto a plastic tube 4.5 cm in diameter and 1.65 m long. Find the emf to which the ends of the wire must be connected to produce a magnetic field of 0.015 T within the solenoid.
