A City Council requires the ability to deploy an Employee Management Solution to all business areas across the organisation. They are required to develop a Recruitment Management System (RMS) and Employee Self Service (ESS) as part of an Employee Management Solution and integrate with the existing systems including Chris21 Payroll System and MYOB Accounting System. Chris21 and MYOB are cloud-based software-as-a-service. The council would like to deploy the proposed Employee Management Solution in Amazon Web Service (AWS). The recruitment module will allow users to apply online for job applications, shortlist the candidates, invite shortlisted candidates for interview, process the interview, and select the successful candidate. The candidates will be able to register and log in to the RMS to apply for jobs, view the status of their applications, withdraw applications, and contact the hiring manager. HR Manager and other authorised users make of the systems of the system login to the system. Successful candidate will submit their personal profile, tax file number, super fund details, and bank account details in ESS. ESS will also allow users to apply for annual leave, medical leave, etc., and view the leave balance and pay slip. The managers of each department will be able to approve or reject leave applications. There will be a System Administration module where the System Administrator will be able to create a user, assign a user role and access to the module, and delete and edit users. There might be other requirements that you need to gather during requirements collection in the analysis phase. For this assessment, you are required to analyse, investigate, and document system requirements for this Employee Management Solution. Based on your analysis of the case situation and using different modeling techniques, you will be required to produce a report that discusses the development of business information systems requirements for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Report Writing Guidelines: Your report must include the following. Title Page - Clearly set out the title of your assessment, your name, your student ID, the unit name, the unit code and the name of the lecturer. There must be no graphics or pictures of any kind on the title page. Executive Summary - Provide 'No more than one page' of summary. Table of Contents - Auto-generated using the word processor. Introduction This section should introduce the general aims, backgrounds of the organisation (Consider an Australian City Council), and areas/issues you will discuss in the report. Body - Discuss your findings in detail, where appropriate, headings and sub-headings should be included with the logical progression of your report from one idea to the next. Do not use the word 'Body' as a heading - identify words that relate to your report for the heading. Body of your report should: • Write a business case for the proposed Employee Management System. • Perform feasibility study and SWOT analysis. • Create a mind map for the system. Identify stakeholders and their roles in the system. • Identify the stakeholders you will be interviewing, justify the reason, and prep. of interview questions. 3 • Consider all possible practices that you would use in this case to analyse requirements and provide examples. any kind on the title page.
