Channing Tate sells his farm, Magic Meander, to Chris Hemsworth for R 5000 000. Chris takes occupation
Question:
Channing Tate sells his farm, Magic Meander, to Chris Hemsworth for R 5000 000. Chris takes occupation of the farm. Despite a letter of demand, Chris fails to make any payments for the purchase price as agreed upon in the contract of sale to Channing. Chris alleges that the farmhouse is dilapidated , the soil is not as fertile as he had thought it would be and the nearby lake upon which the farm depends for water supply is drying out which means that he would be unable to irrigate as much land as he had hoped. Channing wants to sue Chris with breach of contract. He wants to cancel the contract of sale and take back possession of the farm but is unsure as to his prospects of success. He is worried that the matter may drag on without an expeditious resolution, should Chris defend the matter.
