Write down all your solutions on A4 sized papers Submit this assignment on or before: XX Apr 2022 Qi A 20-storey office building has a typical floor height of 3.8 m. It has an area of 1,500 m each floor and the population density of the building is 1 person per 10 m. Each of the lifts that served the building has a rated speed of 3.5 m/s and the Up-peak interval of the building should be s 25 seconds. The Percentage of Population served in 5-minutes should be 2 15 %. Given that: Door opening time: 1 s; Door closing time: 2 s; Single-floor flight time: 3.5 s; Passenger transfer time: 2s INote: passenger transfer time (passenger loading time passenger unloading time) / 2) (1) Calculate the Up-Peak Handing Capacity(UPPHC), and hence the Contract Capacity(CC). () Split the lifts system into two groups if the calculated Contract Capacity (CC) in part (0 is larger than 25, Then by using Table Q1, find out the average number of stops (S) and the average highest call reversal floor (H). (ii) Calculate the Round Trip Time (RTT). (M) Calculate the total number of lifts required. (v) Calculate the real Up Peak Interval (UPPINT) and real Percentage of Population (XPOP) handled.
