The baseball leaves the bat at an angle of 8 degrees above the horizontal. Mr Aaron grasps the bat so that 40% of the bat is below his hands. The coefficient of static friction between Mahogany and cow hide is 0.08. It is a very hot day (100degrees Fahrenheit) and so the drag coefficient in air is reduced to0.017. We shall assume that the baseball remains in contact with the bat for a time interval of 0.38 seconds.
