The cause of action:Breach of Contract. The client is getting sued for breaching an apartment lease.
- Hector's representation includes appearances at all circuit court proceedings, consultations and meetings, telephone and written correspondence (with the client, the opposing attorneys and others involved in the case), research, preparation of documents, and all general preparation and negotiation for any of these provided services.
- Attorney fees billable at $395.00/hour
- Client is also responsible for expenses, which may include, process server, court reporters, investigator, etc. Expenses are a separate cost. Payment for expenses must be received within fifteen (15) days from the receipt of the itemized statement.
- Client is billed on the 1st of each month. Payments are due by the 15th of each month. The collected retainer will be applied toward the fees for services rendered, not for expenses which will be paid for monthly. An additional retainer of $2000 will be collected once the current retainer has been applied in full.
- Accounts more than 60 days late will result with the withdrawal of the attorney.
- Client will receive an itemized statement reflecting services and expenses monthly.
- The client must return the signed retainer agreement with a $2000 retainer within 7 days of receipt of the agreement. Upon receipt of the retainer and signed agreement, the office will file the appropriate pleadings.
