Question:
The first part of the project is to take a raw sales transaction dataset, upload it into SQL Developer as a raw table (no manipulation of data type or length during import into SQL Developer), and create tables to represent three entities: CUSTOMERS01, PRODUCTS01 and ORDERS01.
The construction of the tables needs to follow relational data modeling principles including design of data type and length, setup of constraints, enforcement of RI, default value and indexes. You will also create sequences for use when adding records into the tables.
The second part of the project is to write SQL SELECT statements against the DB containing the three tables to address a number of business questions by employing conditional evaluation, functions, joins and other query techniques as appropriate

Upload into SQL Developer the dataset provided in the csv file posted as Term Project File in Module 8. Steps for importing the csv file into SQL Developer: 1. Download the Term Project File posted and save it to your local directory. 2. In SQL Developer, expand hr account schema and locate the Tables folder. 3. Right click on Tables folder to select Import Data. 4. Import Data Wizard pops up. Follow the prompts to locate the downloaded csv file from your local directory. 5. Take all defaults and click Next every step, except when you need to specify a Table Name at the second screen. 6. Name the table as PROJECT_FILE (or any name of choice) in the Table Name box. 7. All columns will be imported as varchar2 by default. All columns will be selected for import by default. Leave the default data type as is. Do not change data type of any field. 8. At the end of the process, OK out of the import process. You should see a prompt showing that you have successfully imported the csv file. 9. Right click on the Tables folder and click Refresh to update. Locate PROJECT_FILE in the Tables folder to make sure the file is uploaded with the provided columns and data. 10. Observe the fields in the uploaded PROJECT_FILE table in reference to the requirements and tasks as described below. + # EJ A TERM PROJECT REQUIRMENTS X + Search Google or type a URL TERM PROJECT REQUIRMENTS(1).pdf Objectives 1/4 The term project is intended as an exercise to apply the SQL programming knowledge acquired from CIS2720 to a hypothetical but practical task.
