Write a Research Essay that analyzes a specific idea within a broader topic, with factual evidence and academic sources to back up your interpretation/thesis. Making sure that you have a specific topic is ESSENTIAL to a good research paper. If you have too broad or too narrow of a topic, researching may be very difficult. PLEASE CHOOSE A RESEARCH QUESTION TO FORMAT YOUR PAPER ON FROM THE LIST BELOW: 1) Does social media help or hinder a student's learning and social connections? How? 2) How has food security, and the cost of healthy eating, been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic? 3) Does gender affect communication skills and styles of an individual? How? Once you've chosen a research question, the next step is to develop a thesis statement that directly answers the research question and will be the basis that your arguments/research supports REQUIRED ACADEMIC SOURCES: A research paper is considered an expanded essay, which means that you will need to include at least 3 to 4 academic sources. These academic sources needed to be cited in-text and in a References (Works Cited) page at the end of the essay, in proper APA format. Please refer to the 'Course Resources (APA Citation Style), under the INTRODUCTION AND RESOURCES tab in this course on Canvas, for more information.
