An Indirect way a child can impact acculturation is by observing the behaviors and being exposed to the different media of that culture. The way that this shows the impact is because of the eventual assimilation by exposure to the new culture by the child. When it comes to being active in my own development the pragmatic themes that stood out to my the most were Self-care and Emotional intelligence. The rest ends up falling into line. Self-care for my own development has made my life more filling and prosperous. Being able to develop myself and improve my well being has allowed me to become more emotionally intelligent.
