Calculate the energy density in W h/kg for a battery based on a Li x C 6
Question:
Calculate the energy density in W h/kg for a battery based on a LixC6 anode and a Li1−xCoO2 cathode, operating at an average voltage of 3.6 V. Assume that the electrolyte and casing make up 50% of the battery mass and that the cathode can only be charged to Li0.5CoO2. Repeat the calculation for a pure Li anode assuming the cell voltage is 0.6 V higher. Comment on these values.
