A random sample of individuals was selected from Michigan, Florida, Utah, and New York, and their BMI measurements were taken. The gender of each person was also noted. These data can be found in the file BMI by state. xlsx.

a. Using α = 0.05, is there significant interaction between the gender and the state?

b. Using a two way ANOVA and α = 0.05, does the state in which the person resides have an effect on his or her BMI level?

c. Using a two way ANOVA and α = 0.05, does a ­person’s gender have an effect on his or her BMI level?

d. If warranted, determine which means are significantly different using α = 0.05.

e. Construct an interaction plot for the gender and the state.
