Suppose you’re tapping away at the speed of light on your keyboard to complete an assignment with a deadline due tomorrow morning. Pretty unfair isn’t it? Well, you couldn’t blame the teacher; since the assignment was given to you a week ago, but can you
blame the cable for airing a marathon of your favorite movies for seven days? Let’s not get off track. You’re working on your assignment and the next thing you know; there goes a fuse in your computer. Now you can do two things; either you observe the situation, exert your brain into thinking of a solution and act on it as soon as you can, or, you could just sit there and come up with an excuse to provoke your teacher for not submitting your assignment on time. If you’re a person with a proactive mind, then you would definitely follow the first option. This is the perfect example of why a proactive mind leads to quick solutions, along with success.
Don’t Think, Just Do!
It is obvious that those who grasp the situation at hand and deal with it without wasting their time in devising alternatives prove to get instant and effective results. Even in the corporate world, team managers who are creative in handling tasks in unconventional ways, tend to be more success than those who spend half of their days in planning way outs. These managers are flexible enough to be more proactive and solution-oriented towards their job than the procrastinators.
It Builds Up Your Confidence
Risk takers are considered to reach their goals even faster than most of the scholarly minds. By taking risks, you build up your self confidence yet the ability to trust yourself rather than depending on facts. With a proactive mind, you can solve problems by identifying loop holes that not everyone can see or cater. By being the problem solver, you will be considered as a leader among your surroundings, and this will boast your self esteem.
Proactive People are Optimistic
A person who is calm in a perplexed situation would easily stand out from others, as they would be seen as someone who probably has a solution in their head. A proactive mind does not dwell on the after effects that may or may not occur after a problem; rather they view the scenario as a maze, constantly look around for an open passage.
If you wish to be the problem solver of your group, may it be in the family, friends, or among your colleagues, then you too can see the world as a place with ample blessings in disguise!
