In Case Study 1.2 and in Chapters 12 and 13, we examined a study showing that there appears to be a relationship between taking aspirin and incidence of heart attack. The null hypothesis in that study would be that there is no relationship between the two variables, and the alternative would be that there is a relationship. Explain what a type 1 error and a type 2 error would be for the study and what the consequences of each type would be for the public.
