We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. The SQA engineer role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective. If you hold an engineering background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases. • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs. • Perform thorough regression smoke, sanity, testing when bugs are resolved or after every release. • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools (e.g Selenium). • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies. • Work closely with the technical team to identify improvements to our site (including using customer feedback to determine improvements). • Proactively work with other team members as needed to resolve issues and meet goals

Skills Required

• At least 1 year of professional experience as a QA engineer in software development • Strong experience in Mobile or Web UI test automation and performance testing • Experience with API testing or integration • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting • Experience of manually testing Web and/or desktop applications • Bug tracking/management tools experience (e.g. Asana) • Experience with automation testing and scripting tools and techniques would be highly valued but is not mandatory (will give you time to learn if required) • Self-starter with the ability to pay attention to details • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing and automated testing tools • Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision • Must be Bachelors or Masters in Computer Sciences

Required Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
