Ideally, you should focus on business reporting, but any story that has a business aspect (politics, economics, trends etc.) is acceptable. You can even extend this to mainstream news; however, avoid celebrity, sports, and entertainment news. By looking at how two newspaper outlets cover the story, you should be able to identify contrasts.
• Consider the target audiences and how the paper evaluates newsworthiness as a result of its audience.
• A content analysis is an exploration of how the reporting is put together. Answer the following questions:
• What does each story emphasize?
• What is it missing?
• Is there any political or social bias?
• What is the angle?
• Who is quoted?
