Over a 24-hour period, record oral and written messages that you heard, read, or saw (whether in person or from the newspaper, radio, television, or Internet). Make a list of these messages and the wording of each. Add the following classifications for each one using all the terms that apply: (a) expected or unexpected; (b) unpleasant; (c) disappointing to the receiver; (d) upsetting to the receiver; (e) known or unknown to the receiver; (f) face-to face, telephone, texting, Twitter, letter, e-mail, or memo; and (g) direct or indirect plan. Report your list in class for discussion and analysis, rating the effectiveness of each message and justifying the reason for the rating.
