Returning to the data on the racial distribution of traffic stops from Problem 9 the researcher cross-tabulates the race of the driver with the race of the police officer for the random sample of 250 recorded stops. Note that there were too few stops by officers who are neither White nor Black to maintain an €œOther€ category. Using the chi-square test of independence, test the null hypothesis of no difference between White and Nonwhite officers in terms of the race of drivers they stop for traffic violations.
