Azina has now corrected or solved the points which concerned her about the draft trial balance and she has made the final adjustments. The trial balance is now in a position to be printed off in a form fit for publication as required by the Companies Act 1985. This is not as easy as just calling up a print off from the screen and Azina usually makes sure she gets advice. She has found that the requirements change year by year and she needs to make sure that no new regulations have been introduced or even some old ones she has not previously needed to worry about suddenly have become relevant. Keeping up to date with all the changes is difficult when she is busy running the business on a day-to-day basis. However this has been a very good trading year, with several major contracts completed. They have all worked very hard and are keen to see the final results. John thinks it is unlikely that such hig contracts can be repeated the following year but nevertheless the fact that they handled the contracts successfully has given the whole team a boost of confidence. Azina starts work on the results for publication.
