Venus has a core containing molten material but only a very small or no magnetic dipole field. This is thought to be because of the slow rotation of the planet.

Some astronomers have speculated that the planet has been slowed down by its atmosphere. This implies that rotation was faster in the past. If this is correct how would the early magnetosphere of Venus differ from the present one?
