In Section 15.1 we discussed a natural decomposition of sentence structures that supported language understanding. In Sections 15.2 and 15.3 we noted that the semantic and knowl- edge intensive aspects of language could be supported by word and sentence-level repre- sentational structures. In this section we introduce stochastic tools that support, at these same levels, pattern based analysis of structures enabling language comprehension.
