Cooper, Young and Partners Browns Ltd Sales Testing Objective R-7 Prepared by: ET Date 3/8/X2 To ensure that a sales invoice is properly raised for all orders processed. Sample Selected the 30 sales orders for the month of June. Work done 1. Traced orders selected to dispatch docket. 2. Traced to invoice prepared. 3. Checked that all quantities match. 4. Ensured that prices were correctly calculated and were from an approved price list. Matters arising 1. Two dispatch dockets did not result in the production of an invoice - accept as not material. ET 2. There were a number of prices that were not as per the price list. Discussed with the accounts clerk who said that they were discounts that were negotiated with the cus- tomers to ensure their continued business-accept explanation as reasonable. ET 3. The quantity for all orders delivered did not always match the quantity on the invoice. Staff in the delivery area said that this was due to companies receiving extra stock to replace damaged stock that had been sent - accept. ET Conclusion From the work performed, management's assertions in relation to sales have been validated.
