Diamond et al. (A-53) wished to know if cognitive screening should be used to help select appropriate candidates for comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation. They studied a sample of geriatric rehabilitation patients using standardized measurement strategies. Among the data collected were the following admission and discharge scores made by the subjects on the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE):
