Hayton et al. (A-18) investigated the pharmacokinetics and bioavailability of cefetamet and cefetamet pivoxil in infants between the ages of 3.5 and 17.3 months who had received the antibiotic during and after urological surgery. Among the pharmacokinetic data collected were the following measurements of the steady-state apparent volume of distribution (V). Also shown are previously collected data on children ages 3 to 12 years (A-19) and adults (A-20). Weights (W) of subjects are also shown.
