What responsibility do sports organizations, specifically the NFL and MLB, have in ensuring that their players are being cared for physically, emotionally, and mentally? Is it up to the NFL and MLB to institute mandatory programs, or are they allowed to follow other businesses that only step in (either to punish someone or force them into rehabilitation programs) when their issues/addictions affect their work?
