A state-supported program in Pennsylvania called PACE, pays a team of doctors to assess multiple scientific studies in order to give physicians objective information regarding the costs and benefits of various types of treatments. This so-called “academic detailing program”

helps doctors decide which drugs are most effective and most cost-effective. Suppose the federal government supported this kind of program nationwide, and banned all pharmaceutical detailing. Would this regulation pass the Central Hudson test?
