Interview an individual (e.g. family member, neighbour) across a holiday period: four days before (pre-vacation), directly after
Question:
Interview an individual (e.g. family member, neighbour) across a holiday period: four days before (pre-vacation), directly after (post-vacation 1) and four days after the holiday (post-vacation 2). At each time point register the respondents’ level of health and well-being (e.g. using the recovery indicators mentioned earlier). At post-vacation 1 also ask the respondent what type of holiday activities he/she was engaged in, what pleasure he/she derived from these activities and whether the holiday activities matched his/her individual preference (i.e. the level of control over holiday activities). Compare the three time points:
a. Is there a difference in health and well-being indicators between prevacation and post-vacation 1? What does this result mean?
b. Does post-vacation 2 differ from pre-vacation and from post-vacation 1?
What do these results mean?
c. Would an extra measurement point during the holiday have been informative and why?
