(Core competencies) As a team, make a list of the core competencies of your college or university and explain why you believe these items to be core competencies. Make appointments with your dean, one vice president, and if possible, the pres¬ ident of your college or university and, without sharing your list, ask these in¬ dividuals what they believe the core competencies to be and why. Prepare a video presentation that summarizes, compares, and contrasts all the lists. Send copies of the tapes to each of the individuals you interviewed.
