Jane Phipps of Fresh From Texas, however, was quick to point out that such a situation does not exist in the vegetable market. “When floods or droughts occur in California, Texas, Florida, and Arizona, prices for inferior products skyrocket. On the other hand, when the weather is great, produce is plentiful, the quality is great, and prices are low,” she said.
