Individually or as a group with your classmates, interview the manager of a retail (or wholesale) store such as a music store, an automobile parts store, or the parts department of an appliance dealership.

Ask the manager how items are ordered to replace those sold. For example, does he or she order based on observing inventory levels or place an order each time a customer buys an item? Does the manager appear to use just-in-time inventory? Write a brief report to your instructor summarizing the results of your interview.
