Place your textbook on your desk, with fixed axes oriented as shown. Rotate the book about the x-axis through a 90° angle and then from this new position rotate it 90° about the y-axis. Sketch the final position of the book. Repeat the process but reverse the order of rotation. From your results, state your conclusion concerning the vector addition of finite rotations.
