How many income streams are there connected with Fortnite?

The free-to-play computer game Fortnite became a cultural and fi nancial phenomenon in 2018 with some 125 million people reported to have played it that year, generating an estimated revenue of $2.4 billion in the calendar year. The game was developed by Tim Sweeney and his company Epic. Whilst in development, in 2012 the Chinese technology conglomerate Tencent purchased a 48 per cent stake in the company for $330 million.

Fortnite went live in 2017.
