What pressures would the company face if it were to become a public company?

Planet Innovation (PI) is seen as one of the most innovative companies in Australia. It was founded in 2009 by Stuart Elliott, Sam Lanyon, Troy O’Callaghan and Eduardo Vom, initially as an innovation and commercialization consultancy but it pivoted to manufacturing in 2014. The founders had previously started up the cancer diagnostics manufacturer Vision Biosystems, whose parent, Vision Systems, sold it to the US conglomerate Danaher Corporation for $815 million in 2006. PI remains a private company and now has over 250 employees, with an offi ce in the USA and its own portfolio of businesses.
