The Island is a story where people order clones to live in an isolated facility  in order to provide spare body parts for the originals' medical care. Lincoln Six Echo begins to question his existence when his friend is selected to go to The Island. He and his friend escape the sterile compound where they are kept to explore who they are and why they exist.
