The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), a new classification system for organizing economic data, has recently replaced the separate standard classification systems previously used by Canada, the United States, and Mexico. NAICS provides a common standard framework for the collection of economic and financial data for all three nations.

Instructions At your library, find the NAICS Manual, and answer the following:

(a) The NAICS numbering system uses five levels of detail to identify company activities. What do the first two digits identify? The fourth digit? The sixth digit?

(b) Identify the sector, subsector, industry group, NAICS industry, and U.S. industry represented by the code 513322.
