The minimum MSE (mean square error) is obtained for Pegels' optimal model cell B-3 method (row 8) when optimum values for the three parameters are determined. The same model also gives the minimum MAE and minimum MAPE values. This is not always the case and sometimes an alternative method might be chosen on the basis of MAPE, for example.
