5. Manchester United star Wayne Rooney has £30m ‘break clause’ in new contract Wayne Rooney has signed a new five-year contract with Manchester United that will pay him about £160,000 a week. It is believed that his contract includes a “break clause” which would allow Rooney to leave for £30 million if yearly targets set for the club are not met.
