& Terrorism (Vol. 29, 2006) conducted an analysis of incidents involving suicide terrorist attacks. Data on the number of individual suicide bombings or attacks for each in a sample of 21 incidents involving an attack against the United States by the Al Qaeda terrorist group (see table below) are saved in the ALQAEDA file.

a. Find the mean and standard deviation of the sample data.

b. Describe the population from which the sample is selected.

c. Use the information from part a to find a 90% confidence interval for the mean m of the population.

d. Give a practical interpretation of the result you obtained in part c .

e. In repeatedly sampling, where intervals similar to the one computed in part c are generated, what proportion of the intervals will enclose the true value of m?
