A Unique Approach for External Quality Assessments Synopsis The IFACI (Institut Français de l’Audit et du Contrôle Internes), the French Institute of Internal Auditors, external Quality Certification process is discussed. Established in 2004 it has already operated in countries outside France. It goes beyond the quality assurance requirements of The IIA International Standards with other key benefits. It recognizes where improvements are needed from non-conformances and promotes cutting edge best practices.

She has joined IFACI, the French Institute of Internal Auditors, in 2000 as the Research Director, responsible for running and coordinating the work of taskforces composed of internal audit professionals. She directly contributed to the writing of booklets, position paper and articles, as well as the French translation of the Standards. Since 2004, she has been involved in the certification activity, first of all as a member of the steering team, charged with the designing and development of the certification of internal audit departments, then as a team leader on certification mission. Up to now, she has performed more than 20 certification engagements and supervises the certification teams.
