=+● Organizational structure and reporting relationships: a clear managerial structure is often non-existent in a partnership, and staff members – including HR professionals – tend to report to many people.53 Partnerships tend to not have the traditional pyramidal management structure of the partner firms. They are usually established as projects, with typical project structure and with project members assigned temporarily from other areas of the partner firms, possibly even as parttime assignees, with employees having multiple responsibilities, some in the partnership and some in the parent firms. So, in order to establish and manage performance expectations and outcomes, the partners need to be clear about who is responsible for what and to whom.
