Refer back to the previous exercise about exploring the relationship between the number of letters in a name and the corresponding Scrabble score. Recall that the data file ScrabbleNames contains data on the following two variables: number of letters in a student’s name and the corresponding Scrabble score.

a. Enter the data into the Corr/Regression applet and conduct a simulation-based test of significance. Report the approximate p-value.
b. Interpret the p-value reported in part (a).

c. Summarize your conclusion (significance, causation, generalizability) from this simulation analysis. Also describe the reasoning process by which your conclusion follows from your simulation results.

Students were also asked to calculate the points per letter, that is, ratio = (Scrabble score)/(number of letters in name). The data file ScrabbleRatio contains Scrabble points for a student’s name and the corresponding ratio.
