Barrows Company allows a few customers to make sales on credit. Other customers may use either of two credit cards. The First City Bank makes a \(4 \%\) service charge for sales on its credit card but immediately credits the checking account of its commercial customers when credit card receipts are deposited. Barrows deposits the First City Bank credit card receipts at the close of each business day.

When customers use the American Credit Card, Barrows Company accumulates the receipts for two or three days and then submits them to the American Credit Company for payment. American makes a \(3 \%\) service charge and usually pays within one week of being billed.

Barrows Company completed the following transactions:

July 3 Sold merchandise on credit to Bob Jones for \(\$ 1,170\). (Terms of all credit sales are \(2 / 15, \mathrm{n} / 60\).)

4 Sold merchandise for \(\$ 2,160\) to customers who used their First City Bank credit cards. Sold merchandise for \(\$ 2,400\) to customers who used their American credit cards.

July 5 Sold merchandise for \(\$ 1,600\) to customers who used their American credit cards.
7 Wrote off the account of K. Perry against the allowance for doubtful accounts. The \(\$ 250\) balance in Perry's account stemmed from a credit sale in December of last year.
8 The American credit card receipts accumulated since july 3 were submitted to the credit card company for payment.
18 Received Bob Jones's check paying for the purchase of July 3.
19 Received the amount due from American Credit Company.
