Suppose study of the human brain (science) leads to the development of a device (technology) that allows a user to both download information from another person’s brain (“mind-reading”) and upload information into her or his own brain (instant learning). One extreme opinion is to make the device freely accessible to everyone. The other extreme opinion is to outlaw the device and destroy the plans for creating it. Where would you stand on this issue?
