Five different types of electrodes were applied to the arms of 16 subjects and resistance measured in kilohms (the first eight subjects are women and the remaining eight men). The resulting data are shown in Table 8.7.

The experiment was performed to see whether all electrode types performed similarly and whether men and women differed in skin resistance.

Use a summary measure approach to analyse the data after you have used suitable graphics to display the data and considered whether any observations should be removed before analysis.
