Watch the movie The Insider, which is based on a true story involving Dr. Jeffrey Wigand, a senior research chemist for Brown and Williamson, who was asked after he was fired by the company to be interviewed by Mike Wallace on 60 Minutes.
When the tobacco company learned about the interview, it threatened to sue CBS for interference with contractual relations on the grounds that doing the interview induced Wigand to breach his confidentiality agreement with the company.
