The Palermos needed carpeting for their home. Colorado Carpet Installation, Inc., agreed to do the job for a price that, including carpet and labor, totalled more than $500. Mrs. Palermo did not like how the job was being done and so sought the services of another contractor. Colorado Carpet then sued for enforcement of the oral contract. The Palermos replied that, as the contract was for more than $500, it was unenforceable under the Statute of Frauds.
