.Four popular cultural value classification systems are (1) the World Values Survey (survival vs. self- expression, traditional vs. secular-rational); (2) Hofstede's programmed values (power distance, individualism versus collectivism, masculinity versus femininity, uncertainty avoidance); (3) the GLOBE cultural dimensions, which include Hofstede's categories along with in-group collectivism, assertiveness, future orientation, performance orientation, and humane orientation; and (4) moral foundations theory (care/harm, fairness/cheating, loyalty/betrayal, authority/ subversion, purity/degradation). Be alert to the ethical blind spots created by your cultural values.
