Firms go to great lengths to develop new product ideas.

Sometimes new ideas come from brainstorming in which groups of individuals get together and try to think of as many different, novel, creative – and hopefully profitable –

ideas for a new product as possible. With a group of other students, participate in brainstorming for new product ideas for one of the following (or some other product of your choice):

An exercise machine with some desirable new features

A combination shampoo and body wash

A new type of university.

Then, with your class, screen one or more of the ideas for possible product development.
