To minimize vibrational effects, a telescope is magnetically levitated. This method also eliminates friction in the azimuth magnetic drive system. The photodetectors for the sensing system require electrical connections. The system block diagram is shown in Figure AP12.1.Design a PID controller so that the maximum percent overshoot for a step input is  P.O. ≤ 20% and the T_s ≤ 1 s.
