(NFL) for breach of antitrust laws. This was a response to NFL’s decision in 2000 to grant full and exclusive licensing rights to Reebok for producing NFL-brand clothing items for all teams. An interim ruling in 2008 by the Court of Appeals favored NFL, but in 2010, the Supreme Court voted unanimously that the NFL consists of 32 independent entities that compete not only on the field, but also in their business transactions, thus, rejecting the rationale of it being a “single

(business) entity” that competes with other sports and entertainment organizations. In 2015, American Needle settled out of court with the NFL, and it is no longer a part of the NFL market.
