1. Have you ever been to a Gap store? Maybe you haven’t visited one of their traditional stores, but you’ve shopped in Old Navy or Banana Republic, both of which are owned by Gap, Inc. Whether you have shopped at any of these stores or not, visit the Gap’s Web site at www.gap.com, and browse through it to learn about the company as well as its different product lines. Then, based on what you’ve learned in this chapter, draw what you believe is the ideal layout for a Gap store, including products from as many of its lines as you can (men’s, women’s, kids, etc.). In what ways do you believe your layout will create value for customers? Does your layout match the layouts you recall from actual Gap stores? Why or why not?
